Annapolis, MD (May 5, 2008)-The Annapolis Yacht Club (AYC) hosted 197 sailors from throughout the country at the United States Optimist Dinghy Association (USODA) 2008 Team Trials. Among the competitors were 12 sailors out of AYC, including eight who qualified throughout the year at USODA events, and four of whom were invited by USODA.
The Team Trials, an invitation-only event that ended Sunday, is a selection regatta qualifying sailors for both International Optimist Dinghy Association (IODA) international championships and also for the US National Teams. As the sole qualifier for these events and teams, the Team Trials is the most competitive USODA event annually.

The MYC has a new website! This represents the fifth and most significant overhaul since the MYC launched its first website. So what are the new features? A new modern look. An updated infrastructure that is easier to maintain. The existing site was based on 8 year old dead-end technologies. There is centralized management of content via a web browser. Old posted content will automatically archive off the primary pages (an Archive link will appear in the upper right when there is history available for a given section).
